Tinakilly Country House, Meghann & Darragh
Meghann & Darragh
A sparkling lake, waves gently lapping at the shore, trees climbing their way up the steep, green slopes on either side and the sun peeking through the clouds… The opening shot of this video might just be our new happy place!
Darragh got a little head start in this relationship, winning the hearts of his future in-laws on a holiday in Lanzarote a full three months before meeting Meghann for the first time in a pub in Howth. Not exactly an arranged marriage, but they probably couldn’t have planned it better if they tried!
Meghann sells wedding dresses for a living at Myrtle Ivory in Dublin, and was able to use her connections to have her dress flown in from the Castle, the flagship Claire Pettibone store in LA. She had originally seen the dress, (‘Raven’, since you asked), in black but decided to ditch her usual look for a more traditional ivory. With her bridesmaids in tow, she made for a beautiful boho bride.
Before the ceremony we were able to get some great shots of the couple on the shores of Glendalough, and after we caught them strolling through the grounds of Tinakilly Country House. The reception was a lot of fun, we were particularly impressed with the food, and the newlyweds and their guests had a great time dancing the night away under twinkling fairy lights.
This was certainly one of the more stylish weddings we’ve shot, we loved the clothes, particularly the dress, and the venues and decorations provided the perfect backdrop. We recommend this video if you’re looking for a touch of inspiration for your own big day.
